USFDA Gives a Green Signal to Lupin Pharmaceutical to Release Anti-Acne Generic Pills

Lupin pharmaceutical Ltd finally got the approval from the U.S FDA (U.S food and drug administration) for the extended release tablets called minocycline hydrochloride which is used for the treatment of acne.

The US health regulator has granted this approval to the company’s subsidiary, lupin pharmaceuticals for manufacturing tablets in dosage strength of 65 mg, 80 mg, 105 mg and 115 mg.  Minocycline hydrochloride tablets are generic antibiotics of the brand medication solodyn. Solodyn is the patent medication manufactured by Medicis pharmaceutical corporations.

Minocycline hydrochloride is a generic oral medication that is especially meant and approved by the FDA for the treatment of acne that are red,  puss filled pimples of mild to severe condition. This generic medication is meant only for people above the age of 12 years and older than that.  It is highly recommended that this generic antibiotic should be consumed only after doctor’s recommendation as it is available in various dosage forms and should be consumed according to the intimacy of the complication. Minocycline hydrochloride should be used with proper precautions as per the precautions mentioned on the medication. minocycline hydrochloride is a generic medication but has all the qualities and the safety and the effectiveness like the brand medication solodyn.

According to IMS, citing market research firm carried out a research in September 2011 found that the company had sales of almost USD 750 million. Lupin Ltd scrips were trading at Rs 467.20 per share, on the BSE, up 0.24 per cent from the previous close.
